TV show

I don't know what the show's name. But I like this kind of show--- It is a game show, every person has 10 games to challenge. And the higest reward is one billion dollar. You have time to practice it, but if you failed, you can't get any money. I think it is a interesting show, make audiences fun and exciting.

This is our glog address, my group members are Jin and Emily. We took a interview with a fashion lady in Macy's. We talked about pop culture and high culture. In her opinion, both pop culture and high culrure is important to learn. I agree with her. Because our life cannot live without culrute. And our duty is make culture more and more longer and colorful.

Technology

Nowadays, tecnologu around us. I live with my computer, my phone, and my ipod. I think that can be hi-tech. Such like lamp, caculator, etc, all can be tecnology. So I canot live without all if them, they are make my life colorful.
I think the importance odf tecnology is convenience. We use phone connect to each other, we use computer to send email, to gain knowledge, also can communicate with others, though in different country.

About movie.

I watched Academy Award movie--- The hurt locker. It was talked about James (Jeremy Renner), US Army Sergeant First Class, he was take a place of ex- staff sergeant who was died of bomb accident. James has two partners Owen and Sanborn (Anthony Mackie, Brian Geraghty) in a bomb squad unit in Iraq. Their duty is dismantle every object could be a deadly bomb. Firstly, Owen and Sanborn don’t like their staff sergeant. Because of James didn’t follow original role to dismantle bomb. He has his own way to did that, and every time he has success. They have a few days left to do their duty, and they did their best in that few days. They were protecting many guiltless people to the bomb. Finally, James can’t stop to live in normal; he was back to battlefield again.
I haven't watch any movie in this three months (except howework). But I wanna see "Death at a funeral". My friends told it was really interesting.

About music

My favorite singer is James Blunt, he is from England. He was a army before. I like his voice and the feeling when he singing. I like pop music, R&B. My favorite song is <> now. It is really famous in the U.S. Every big radio channal all play it everyday. It was sang by Justin, a young boy who from Canada. I think he is the most popular singer so far.

Reading-- I want to Be Miss America

I read "I Want to Be Miss America", the first reason I chose it because the title was attracted me. I want to know what it is about. Actually I have the same thought like the author and her sisters. They were young at that time and their minds were not mature. They wanted to be the same like native born. I think that just children's mind. When they get old, they are realized that their thoughts are silly. I think keeping natural is the important thing. Every ccountry has their own culture we cant's switch and change.

Culture Identity.

HELLO! This is Xuezhi Nie. A 19 years old girl from China.

This is my poster. And this is my first Engilsh poster. It's all view of my poster that about my life in my country and here. This 'CHINA' was I made of LEGO. That day when I saw lots of kids play it. I had an idea to make one. I know it is not good but that time I really miss my country.

How you have changed since you have been in the U.S. What you have necome aware of since taking this class.

When I came to Chicago, I found in America, nobody cares about what you wear and everything you should depends on ourselves. When I was in China, people care about their wearing, but here, just for comfortable. I am the person who alone living here, so everything I should decide by myself and since I have been here I learnt independence.

And the pop culture class--- Since I was taking this class, I was aware of can I understand what the the teacher said? Can I follow my classmates' steps? Is there too much homework? Now, the final week, I like this class, but if the homework become a little less I will love it.
